A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide specialized services within an elementary school setting in West Chester, Pennsylvania. This contract role spans the course of the current school year (CSY), focusing on the evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment of speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing disorders among students.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech and language disorders accurately. Develop detailed evaluation reports and recommend appropriate interventions. Design and implement individualized treatment plans, including IEP goals tailored to each students needs. Provide direct therapy services addressing articulation, language delays, fluency, voice, pragmatic/social communication, and swallowing challenges. Monitor student progress continuously and adjust treatment as needed. Collaborate with educators, parents, psychologists, occupational therapists, and other school personnel. Participate actively in IEP meetings and interdisciplinary planning sessions. Supervise Speech-Language Pathology Assistants and clinical trainees when applicable. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, documentation standards, and ethical guidelines set by ASHA and the Pennsylvania Board of Examiners in Speech-Language and Hearing. Maintain professional licensure and pursue ongoing continuing education. Qualifications: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution. Current Pennsylvania state license in Speech-Language Pathology. ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) is strongly preferred. Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) certification required for public school assignments. Strong clinical expertise coupled with excellent organizational and communication skills.
