A dedicated Social Worker is needed to support K-12 students within a vibrant school setting in Metairie, LA. This contract role for the current school year offers an opportunity to foster a positive impact on the academic and social well-being of diverse student populations.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral needs. Develop and implement individualized intervention plans in collaboration with educators and families. Provide crisis intervention and counseling services to students facing personal or academic challenges. Facilitate group sessions and workshops to promote social skills, resilience, and mental health awareness. Connect students and families with community resources and support services. Maintain accurate case records and documentation in compliance with school policies. Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and other support staff to create a supportive school environment. Preferred Qualifications: Masters degree in Social Work (MSW) or related field. Licensure or eligibility for licensure as a social worker in Louisiana. Experience working with K-12 students in school or community settings. Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and family dynamics. Excellent communication, organizational, and crisis management skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
