This position offers leave coverage from July 1st through August 13th, serving a unique and engaging role in the educational environment.

The role involves working directly with a 3rd-grade student who divides their day between the Teacher of the Deaf and Hard of Hearing (TDHH) and general education classrooms. This position offers approximately 30 hours weekly, scheduled from 7:45 AM to 1:45 PM, providing meaningful interaction and support that enhances the students learning experience. Key Responsibilities: Deliver clear and effective sign language interpretation for a 3rd-grade student during instructional times. Collaborate closely with the TDHH and general education teachers to ensure seamless communication and accessibility. Adapt communication strategies to meet the individual needs of the student in diverse classroom settings. Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sign Language Interpreter, preferably in educational settings. Strong knowledge of American Sign Language (ASL) and Deaf culture. Ability to work 1:1 with students, providing personalized and attentive support. Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with educators and students.
