Lead pharmacy operations while ensuring safe, effective, and patient-focused medication management. Youll provide staffing support, oversee pharmacy services, and handle light sterile compounding as needed.

MondayFriday, 7:00 AM 3:30 PM | On-Call Evenings & Weekends (~2 calls/month)

Contract Duration:
Through February 2026
Key Responsibilities
Serve as
Pharmacist in Charge , overseeing inpatient pharmacy services.
Staff the pharmacy, ensuring safe and accurate order verification.
Provide on-call coverage during evenings and weekends.
Support technicians in medication preparation, Pyxis management, and IV compounding.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and staff to optimize patient outcomes.
Ideal Candidate
Licensed
Virginia Pharmacist
in good standing.
Experienced in
hospital pharmacy
and
management oversight .
Comfortable with
Epic (training provided)
and
Pyxis automation systems .
Adaptable and dependable, with the ability to balance staffing and on-call duties.
Job Requirements
Active
Virginia Pharmacist License .
Inpatient hospital experience required.
Previous management or PIC experience strongly preferred.
Ability to take on-call responsibilities (average 2 calls/month).
