A dedicated Special Education Teacher is needed to support a full-day 4K self-contained classroom designed for students with disabilities. Duration: August 1st May 30th (School Year) Schedule: 37.5 hours per week Grade Level: 4K (Pre-Kindergarten) Key Responsibilities: Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to the unique needs of each student in a self-contained classroom setting. Collaborate closely with two teaching assistants to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment. Utilize evidence-based instructional strategies to promote social, emotional, and academic growth among students with disabilities. Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting instructional approaches as needed. Communicate regularly with families and multidisciplinary team members to ensure cohesive support for each student. Maintain detailed and accurate records in compliance with educational standards and regulations. Qualifications & Experience: Valid South Carolina teaching certification in Special Education or related area. Experience working with young children with disabilities, preferably in a 4K or early childhood setting. Strong classroom management and teamwork skills.
