Elementary Special Education Teacher
for a self-contained classroom in the Annapolis, MD area. This is a contract position for the 2025-2026 school year, offering weekly pay and a full benefits package. Student Caseload:
12-17 students
Schedule:
Full-time, onsite only
Contract Term:
Full 2025-2026 school year
Responsibilities: Provide direct instruction and support to elementary students with special needs in a self-contained classroom
Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and support staff
Monitor student progress and adjust instruction as needed
Maintain compliance with district and state regulations
Foster a safe, positive, and inclusive classroom environment
Requirements: Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education or related field
Valid Maryland teaching certification with Special Education endorsement
Experience working in a self-contained classroom is preferred
Strong classroom management and communication skills
Ability to commit to an onsite-only role for the full school year
