2 Installments; 1st @ 90 days/2nd @ 1 yr This SLP Samaritan Position is responsible to provide the following service lines: Pediatric and Adult OP Adult IP Modified Barium Swallow Studies Position covers both Samaritan Medical Center and Samaritan Rehabilitation Services OP Clinic Organizes and conducts defined portions of the Speech Language Pathology to facilitate the habilitation or rehabilitation of people with speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing disabilities. Directs patient participation in selected activities to establish, enhance, and restore speech, language, cognitive linguistic, psychosocial, and swallowing abilities or compensate for their loss. Patient evaluation, treatment planning, discharge planning. Patient treatment. Documentation. Additional Responsibilities
Performs other duties as assigned. Complies with all policies and standards. For specific duties and responsibilities, refer to documentation provided by the department during orientation. Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace. Qualifications
Graduate of an accredited Speech-Language Therapy program License Requirements: Licensed by the State of Ohio to practice Speech-Language Therapy. Preferred Qualifications: Inpatient speech including acute care,; Outpatient adults/pediatric caseloads and MBSS.
