Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Construction Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction/site work estimating. Candidate should have the ability to analyze costs and prepare accurate estimates for various construction projects. This role requires familiarity with standard software bidding tools such as Contractor Foreman for tracking, estimating, and invoicing jobs. Also, Insite for civil take-offs and modeling site work jobs. The Construction Estimator will play a critical role in ensuring that projects are completed on time. Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and overhead. Analyze blueprints, specifications, and other documentation to prepare time, cost, materials, and labor estimates. Collaborate with project managers and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate estimates. Conduct site visits to assess project requirements and gather data for estimating purposes. Provide support in the preparation of bids and proposals for new projects. Maintain organized records of estimates, contracts, and related documentation. Requirements Proven experience as a Construction Estimator or similar role in the construction industry. Proficiency in construction estimating software such as Bluebeam and HeavyBid. Strong understanding of construction management principles and practices. Excellent negotiation skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, subcontractors, and team members. Familiarity with cost control methods and pricing strategies in the construction field. Previous experience working on construction sites is preferred. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail in preparing estimates. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
