Position Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Statewide Procurement Analyst I (Technology Consultant) to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates with an administrative or business background who have a keen interest in technology.

As a Procurement Analyst, you will play a critical role in planning, coordinating, and managing technology procurements for state agencies. This position requires strong organizational skills, exceptional communication, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while ensuring compliance with state procurement policies and standards.

Key Responsibilities

Manage multiple technology procurement projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Prepare, edit, and review procurement documents, including RFPs, contracts, and technical specifications, ensuring accuracy and compliance.

Collaborate with customer agencies, vendors, and internal teams to gather requirements, clarify specifications, and support procurement planning.

Participate in design and quality assurance reviews, incorporating feedback to improve procurement documentation and processes.

Apply state procurement guidelines, policies, and statutes throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Support IT project planning and evaluation by researching technologies, analyzing requirements, and contributing to technical documentation.

Maintain organized records and reporting for all procurement-related activities.

Minimum Requirements

Bachelors degree (required)

Minimum of 3 years of procurement experience (required)

Strong presentation and team collaboration skills

Ability to meet deadlines and work within established policies and procedures

Must be available to work onsite in Jackson, MS
