Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Finisher to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction and finishing work, with the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively. This role involves working on a variety of projects, ensuring high-quality finishes and adherence to specifications. The Finisher will be responsible for executing tasks related to concrete finishing, carpentry, and other construction-related activities. Responsibilities Perform concrete finishing tasks, ensuring smooth and aesthetically pleasing surfaces. Operate hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently for various construction tasks. Read blueprints and schematics to understand project requirements and specifications. Assist in rebar installation, concrete forming, and pouring processes. Execute trim carpentry, plastering, stucco application, and caulking as needed. Participate in renovation projects, including flooring installation and tile laying. Collaborate with team members on heavy lifting tasks and operate heavy equipment when required. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols on the construction site. Support masonry work, frame carpentry, metal stud framing, and roofing tasks as necessary. Engage in restoration projects that may require welding or concrete pumping skills. Qualifications Proven experience in construction with a focus on finishing work is preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate various tools and equipment effectively. Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus. Experience in hardscape projects is desirable. Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately. Knowledge of heavy lifting techniques and safety practices on construction sites. Previous experience with concrete mixers, forming systems, and finishing techniques is essential. Capable of working collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated. Valid commercial driving license may be required for specific projects involving transportation of materials or equipment.
