The ideal candidate will have experience in both residential and commercial painting, with a strong understanding of color theory and construction practices. This role involves preparing surfaces, applying paint, and ensuring high-quality finishes on various projects. A successful Painter will be detail-oriented, possess strong technical skills, and have the ability to work independently or as part of a team. Responsibilities Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and patching as necessary Apply paint, varnish, and other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to determine the scope of work Estimate materials needed for projects and maintain inventory of supplies Collaborate with other tradespeople on construction sites to ensure timely project completion Perform maintenance tasks such as caulking, plastering, and stucco application Execute restoration projects with attention to detail and quality standards Utilize hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Maintain a clean and organized work environment Skills Proficient in construction estimating and basic math for accurate project assessments Strong knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate colors Experience in residential painting, commercial painting, and industrial painting techniques Familiarity with construction site practices and safety protocols Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings Skilled in plastering, trim carpentry, frame carpentry, concrete finishing, masonry, and remodeling tasks Experience with fixture installation and maintenance person services is a plus Competence in using airless paint spraying equipment for efficient application Welding skills are advantageous but not required Join our team as a Painter where your skills will contribute to creating beautiful spaces while working on diverse projects Job Types: Full-time, Part-time Pay: $ $25.00 per hour Expected hours: 30 per week Benefits: Flexible schedule On-the-job training Tools provided People with a criminal record are encouraged to apply Work Location: In person
