Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Painter to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various painting techniques and materials, with an understanding of color theory and the ability to work with different surfaces. This role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to collaborate effectively with other tradespeople on construction projects. Duties Prepare surfaces for painting by cleaning, sanding, and applying primer as needed. Apply paint, varnish, or other finishes using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment. Utilize knowledge of color theory to assist clients in selecting appropriate colors and finishes for their projects. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition; perform minor repairs as necessary. Work with plaster and stucco as needed for surface preparation and finishing. Use power tools safely and effectively during the painting process. Perform caulking to seal gaps and ensure a smooth finish on painted surfaces. Collaborate with carpenters and other construction professionals to ensure project specifications are met. Assist in construction estimating by providing input on material costs and labor requirements for painting tasks. Requirements Proven experience as a Painter or similar role in the construction industry. Strong understanding of color theory and application techniques. Familiarity with industrial painting methods is a plus. Experience working with plaster and stucco is desirable. Proficient in the use of power tools related to painting tasks. Ability to maintain a clean and organized work environment. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team setting.
