The HR Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the HR department in the areas of recruiting, onboarding, payroll transactions, benefits, compliance, employee records, training, and reporting. This role ensures data accuracy, supports employees and managers with timely communication, and contributes to the effective and compliant functioning of the HR department.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support talent acquisition efforts by coordinating recruiting activities, ensuring smooth communication with candidates, and delivering a consistent and compliant onboarding experience.
- Maintain accurate employee data and time records in the HRIS, ensuring timely and correct multistate weekly and bi-weekly payroll processing through proactive review and collaboration with the HR Manager.
- Administer employee benefits and leave programs by providing guidance to employees, processing changes, and ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements.
- Safeguard employee records and HR documentation, ensuring confidentiality, accuracy, and compliance with federal and state regulations, including employment eligibility verification.
- Coordinate training assignments and compliance tracking to ensure employees complete required learning, while maintaining accurate training records to support audits and development initiatives.
- Generate routine HR reports, provide data insights for leadership, and serve as a resource for employees on policies, systems, and HR processes.
- Additional duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
- 1–3 years of HR or administrative experience preferred.
- Proficiency with HRIS platforms (Paylocity preferred).
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong communication skills with a positive, team-oriented approach.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
- Primarily office environment with extended periods of computer work.
- Frequent sitting, with occasional standing, bending, and lifting up to 20 pounds.
- Fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions and shifting priorities.
