Job Title: Business Analyst II

Location: Cincinnati, OH (Onsite)

Duration: Long Term Contract

Position Overview:

  • The Business Analyst will act as a strategic liaison between IT, Operations, and business lines to analyze non-standard business and user needs, document requirements, and resolve complex system issues.
  • This role involves coordinating development and support for new and existing applications, ensuring alignment with business goals, compliance standards, and industry requirements.
  • The Business Analyst partners with stakeholders to build a deep understanding of business processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive efficiency through technology and automation.
  • The ideal candidate is a critical thinker with strong communication skills who can translate business needs into actionable technical requirements, guide project execution, and ensure successful delivery of solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the primary liaison between IT, Operations, and business units to gather, document, and analyze requirements.
  • Act as a team leader on assigned projects, coordinating business requirements, development, testing, and implementation.
  • Create visual representations of business and data processes to analyze workflows and identify opportunities for optimization.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to ensure requirements are clearly communicated and properly translated into technical designs.
  • Define and execute detailed test acceptance criteria for unit and UAT phases, ensuring accuracy and completeness of solutions.
  • Develop and execute SQL scripts for ETL and data testing.
  • Support and troubleshoot data platforms, ensuring system reliability and performance.
  • Conduct research on emerging trends and technologies in banking, data engineering, architecture, and security.
  • Drive enhancements to existing systems to improve productivity, efficiency, and automation.
  • Participate in project management activities such as approval gathering, readiness assessments, and release management.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members while managing multiple priorities and assignments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, particularly in resolving data-related issues.
  • Proficiency in SQL, with hands-on experience in ETL/data testing.
  • Familiarity with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and project management practices.
  • Knowledge of release management protocols and implementation planning.
  • Experience in financial services, banking, or highly regulated industries (preferred).
