Overview

Provide a short description of the Position: Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (SEBT) is a food benefit program that helps low-income families with school-age children buy groceries during the summer when kids might not have access to school meals. Summer Electronic Benefits Transfer (S-EBT) is authorized by the Consolidated Appropriations Act, 2023 (P.L. 117-328) to create a permanent, nationwide S-EBT program. Through SEBT, eligible individuals receive benefits loaded on EBT cards that are used to purchase food.

Responsibilities

• Studies the software application domain, prepares software requirements, and specification documents.
• Liaises between the software users and the software developers.
• Conveys the demands of software users to the developers including general system design, coordination of changes, and unit and integration testing of programs, as well as guidance and mentoring of other staff.
• Skills include but not limited to the following: working knowledge of software technology; computer programming experience/expertise; general business knowledge; problem solving/reduction skills; interpersonal relation skills; flexibility and adaptability
