Mindlance is hiring: Business Analyst- Expert in City of Albany

Provide a list of the day-to-day tasks to be performed by the Selected Candidate:

1. Perform Business Analysis tasks in agile or waterfall methodology, including:
2. Work closely with the project manager, technical team members, and other stakeholders to guide the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
3. Identify and scope business problems, providing guidance and recommending approaches.
4. Act as a liaison to stakeholders, users, and Subject Matter Experts to elicit, analyze, communicate, validate, and verify requirements for complex changes to business processes, policies, and information systems, as well as the development of new ones.
5. Translate user demands into clear requirements for developers.
6. Create as-is and to-be business process flows to ensure software meets agency needs.
7. Conduct requirements workshops and JAD sessions with subject matter experts to elicit requirements.
8. Develop artifacts such as Business Requirements Documents (BRD), context diagrams, system states, specifications, use cases, workflow diagrams, mockups, swim lane diagrams, and prototypes.
9. Ensure artifacts support ITS governance and Secure Systems Development Lifecycle (SSDLC) processes.
10. Manage requirements throughout the project using a requirements management plan and traceability to ensure coverage and testing alignment.
