- Pay for first time hires to the Federal Government will typically be set at step 1 salary range for their respective grade level.
Duties
- Detailed knowledge of organizational standards and procedures affecting each phase of a system’s life cycle.
- Participates in systems requirement reviews and coordinates with customer/functional representatives and other technical personnel to clarify requirements.
- Prepares system change/programming specifications, and specifies programming instructions, inputs and outputs, structures, and other analytical products to document the functional and technical requirements.
- Identifies how system modifications or new systems or subsystems affect current systems; prepares cost analysis; establishes target completion dates; and prioritizes proposed system changes or developments.
- Responds to problem reports from customers by advising on corrective actions. Analyzes and resolves system or software failures.
- Knowledge of a wide range of software development techniques, processes, and scenarios; equipment characteristics; and Agency security regulations to evaluate the effectiveness of systems, devices, procedures, and methods.
