Join our innovative team as a Remote DHH Teacher providing specialized instruction to deaf and hard of hearing students throughout Michigan! We're seeking a dedicated professional to deliver comprehensive educational services through our advanced virtual learning platform. Position Overview
This role offers the unique opportunity to combine your expertise in deaf education with cutting-edge virtual instruction technology. You'll work with students across all grade levels, providing individualized programming that supports language development, academic achievement, and social-emotional growth in our dynamic online environment. Core Responsibilities
Develop and implement specialized curriculum for deaf and hard of hearing students Provide direct instruction in American Sign Language and English language arts Support auditory skill development and amplification technology usage Create accessible learning materials and modify instructional approaches Collaborate with audiologists, speech-language pathologists, and interpreters Facilitate family communication and provide deaf culture education Maintain IEP compliance and progress monitoring documentation Coordinate transition services and post-secondary planning Educational Services
Deliver comprehensive DHH programming including language and literacy development, auditory training, speech therapy coordination, and academic subject instruction. Support students with varying degrees of hearing loss using both ASL and oral communication approaches based on individual student needs and family preferences. Virtual Learning Innovation
Utilize specialized technology platforms designed for deaf and hard of hearing instruction including visual communication systems, captioning services, and interactive video conferencing tools. Our comprehensive system ensures full accessibility and meaningful participation for all students. Required Qualifications
