A Special Education Teacher opportunity is available for a contract position at an elementary school in Lebanon, OH, for the current school year (CSY). This role focuses on delivering high-quality, individualized instruction and support to students with diverse learning needs in compliance with Ohios special education standards.

Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Special Education or a related field required Valid Ohio Department of Education (ODE) Intervention Specialist License (Mild/Moderate, Moderate/Intensive, or K-12 based on student population) Knowledge of IDEA regulations and Individualized Education Program (IEP) development Experience with individualized instruction, behavior management, progress monitoring, and data collection Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with general education staff, specialists, and familiesPreferred: Masters degree in Special Education, Educational Leadership, or related discipline Background in inclusive education, co-teaching, and Universal Design for Learning (UDL) Training in Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and Behavior Intervention Plan (BIP) development Familiarity with assistive technology and Ohio Learning Standards Extended (OLSE) Bilingual or multilingual abilities are a plus Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in partnership with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams Provide tailored academic, social-emotional, and functional instruction and interventions Adapt curriculum and assessments to meet individual learning needs Collaborate with general education teachers to support inclusion and co-teaching models Utilize assessment data to inform instruction and report progress Administer and interpret academic and behavioral assessments Manage Behavior Intervention Plans as necessary Facilitate IEP meetings, Evaluation Team Reports, 504 meetings, and required documentation Maintain regular communication with parents/guardians Ensure compliance with federal and state special education laws and reporting Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance instructional practices Create a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for students with disabilities Benefits for eligible employees include health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) retirement plan featuring company match.
