A full-time Social Worker is needed to provide comprehensive support services within K-12 school settings in the Wilkes Barre area. This position will primarily serve students at local high schools and middle schools, addressing social, emotional, and behavioral needs to promote student well-being and academic success.

Key Responsibilities: Conduct assessments to identify students social, emotional, and behavioral challenges. Develop and implement intervention plans in collaboration with educators, families, and community resources. Provide counseling and crisis intervention to students experiencing difficulties. Facilitate referrals to external agencies as appropriate. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with school policies and legal requirements. Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to individualized education programs (IEPs) when needed. Qualifications and Experience: Valid Pennsylvania Social Work license is required. Current Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) clearances. Experience working with K-12 students in educational settings preferred. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders. Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and professionalism. Location and Duration: Role based in the Wilkes Barre area, servicing high school and middle school students. Contract position commencing ASAP and continuing through the school year or until a permanent hire is made.
