A full-time Occupational Therapist is needed to provide specialized services in a K-12 school setting in Pikeville, KY. This contract position begins ASAP and runs through the end of the current school year. Ideal candidates will bring experience in home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school-based occupational therapy, serving primarily K-8 students with occasional work supporting high school students who utilize AAC devices.

Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive OT services tailored to the developmental and educational needs of K-8 students, with occasional support for high school students using AAC devices Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans Provide direct therapy sessions using in-person and teletherapy methods as appropriate Perform Medicaid billing in compliance with regulatory standards and school policies Maintain accurate documentation of services, progress, and outcomes in a timely manner Participate in meetings and training sessions to stay current with best practices and school guidelines Qualifications and Experience: Current Occupational Therapy license and credentials Proven experience in pediatric OT across home health, healthcare, teletherapy, and school environments Familiarity with AAC device support and integration within therapy plans Knowledge of Medicaid billing procedures and compliance standards Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and healthcare teams Flexibility to adapt therapy methods based on student needs and school requirements Location: Pikeville, Kentucky - serving K-12 students in a school-based environment This opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact on students' educational and functional outcomes within a supportive and collaborative setting.
