An exciting opportunity is available for a dedicated Special Education Teacher to support middle school students in grades 5-7. This full-time, 40-hour per week resource teaching position offers a contract for the upcoming school year and is located in Bloomington, IL.

Key Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction and support tailored to the needs of students with disabilities in grades 5-7. Collaborate with general education teachers and support staff to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs). Monitor student progress and adapt teaching strategies to promote academic and social growth. Maintain thorough documentation and communication with parents and educational team members. Foster an inclusive and supportive classroom environment that encourages student engagement and success. Qualifications and Desired Experience: Active Illinois Special Education License required. Experience working with middle school students is preferred. Strong understanding of special education laws, regulations, and best practices. Ability to develop individualized instructional plans and modify curriculum to meet diverse learning needs. Effective communication and teamwork skills.
