A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity: Cath Lab Technologist - Cath Lab Tech Job Details: • Work 10.5-hour shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM • Weekend requirements apply • On-call requirement of 10/12 days per month including a weekend • Must have IR Lab experience • ARRT and New Mexico State licensure required • BLS and ACLS certification required • Certification issued by ARRT applicable to cardiac or vascular intervention (CV, CI or VI), or RCIS Certification required • High school diploma or equivalent and graduation from accredited radiologic technology program required • One year radiologic experience required and one year interventional or cath lab experience preferred • Perform diagnostic and interventional procedures as requested by physicians • Provide care for patients while obtaining diagnostic quality images for interpretation by radiologist/cardiologist • Must have thorough knowledge of associated radiographic equipment, neurological and cardiovascular anatomy and physiology • Must be able to lift, position, push and/or transfer patients and equipment in excess of 50 lbs • Exposure to bloodborne pathogens, various body fluids, and ionizing radiation • Working hours are varied with flexibility required due to unexpected changes in schedule and emergencies Facility: This medical center operates a comprehensive cardiac catheterization laboratory providing diagnostic and interventional procedures for patients with cardiovascular conditions.
