This Newly Created Role Offers: Uncapped Sales Commission: Leverage a demand-first model to source and deliver tailored solutions to customers. Dynamic Environment: Work with a nimble, responsive company known for high-quality products, reliable supply chains, and competitive pricing. Direct Impact: Report directly to the VP of Sales for Coatings and drive new account development through classic sales hunting. Flexible Work Setup: Operate from your home office and travel as needed. Career Growth: Play a key role in developing a well-funded startup into a leading player in the industrial coatings industry.
What You'll Do: Leverage Relationships: Utilize your existing connections to drive net new business with coatings manufacturers and applicators. End-to-End Sales Process: Manage stakeholders-executives, R&D, purchasing, and production-to guide products from trials to production orders. Customer Engagement: Travel as needed to build and expand long-term relationships, positioning Client to increase market share and product offerings. Collaboration: Partner with internal teams to ensure seamless delivery and ongoing client satisfaction.
Qualifications: Experience: 15+ years of relevant industry experience, including at least 5 years in sales of industrial coatings materials or chemicals. Proven success in high-growth environments and opening new midsize accounts is a must-have. Education: Bachelor's degree required; a background in Chemistry or Materials Science is a plus, but relevant industry experience takes precedence. Mindset: Entrepreneurial, adaptable, and self-driven. Strong prioritization, strategic thinking, and time management skills are essential for day-to-day and long-term success.
