We are seeking a passionate and experienced fundraising leader to elevate and expand our strategic partnerships and development efforts. In these challenging times, as many Americans face hurdles in achieving economic security, our organization plays a critical role in advocating for those who are often overlooked by the financial system. Our team of experts works tirelessly to ensure that the needs of Main Street are prioritized in the policymaking arena across Washington, from the White House and Congress to regulatory agencies and the media.

As the Director of Strategic Partnerships and Development Initiatives, you will take charge of a comprehensive fundraising strategy, aimed at growing and diversifying our supporter base.
Working closely with the President & CEO, the Board of Directors, and a talented team, you will help ensure our organization has the resources necessary to advocate for a fair financial system that serves all Americans, especially small businesses and community banks.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement innovative fundraising strategies to achieve organizational revenue goals.
Manage a diverse portfolio of foundation and individual donors, including five-, six-, and seven-figure contributions.
Build and nurture relationships with philanthropists and foundations committed to transformative change.
Oversee the creation and implementation of a pipeline for donor engagement and stewardship.
Collaborate with senior leadership, board members, and external partners to align fundraising efforts with organizational goals.
Utilize donor database management tools efficiently to track interactions and generate reports.
Ideal Candidate:
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in nonprofit fundraising, with a demonstrable record of securing major gifts.
Experience managing portfolios of high-value donors and foundations.
Ability to design and execute successful fundraising strategies.
Strong project management, organizational, and strategic planning capabilities.
Knowledge of funders within the progressive philanthropic landscape.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to connect with diverse audiences.
Proficient in CRM software and data analysis tools.
Willingness to travel as needed (less than 10%).
Location:
The office is situated in downtown Washington, DC, close to the Blue, Silver, and Orange line stations at Foggy Bottom and Farragut North. This hybrid position offers flexibility for both in-office and remote work, but candidates must be based in D.C.
