Overview
Masonicare Health Center is seeking a Nursing Supervisor (RN) at the Wallingford, CT location. This role falls under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing and the Director of Nursing and carries authority and responsibility for carrying out established standards of practice and care. The Nursing Supervisor collaborates with Clinical Nurse Managers to ensure quality, safety, and appropriateness of care for residents/patients in a 260-bed skilled nursing facility. Responsibilities Maintains established departmental policies, procedures and objectives to ensure nursing practice standards are consistently met throughout the Masonicare Health Center. Upholds the nursing program during the off shift by allocating nursing personnel, coordinating activities, supervising staff, and serving as a clinical resource to all staff. Provide care based on age, physical, psycho/social, educational, safety and related criteria appropriate to the resident/patient in the assigned unit; interact professionally with staff, physicians, patients and families to ensure effective care delivery. Communicate effectively to all staff through verbal reports and written documentation; attend administrative meetings to disseminate information to off-shift staff. Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs. Attend mandatory education programs and in-service training. Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education: Graduate of school of professional nursing; BSN or healthcare-related field preferred. Experience: 1-2 years of supervisory experience preferred. Licenses/Certifications: Current RN license in the State of Connecticut; CPR certification. Key Competencies: Ability to assess and prioritize resident needs; strong management/supervisory, conflict resolution, interpersonal, and communication skills; working knowledge of computers.
Compensation and Schedule
Base pay range: $40.00/hr - $52.00/hr Location: Masonicare Health Center - Wallingford, CT Shift: Day Shift / 8 hrs per day / every other weekend (EOW) $5,000 Sign-On Bonus in the first year of Employment*
