Pay: $22.00$25.00/hour, depending on experience
About the Role Red Dirt Septic is hiring a Diesel Technician to service and maintain our fleet of vehicles and equipmentincluding backhoes, track loaders, trailers, and semi-trucks. This role is ideal for a skilled and reliable technician who wants steady hours, a supportive team, and the chance to work on a wide range of equipment without overnight travel.

What Youll Do
Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel and gas vehicles and equipment
Troubleshoot and repair engines, brakes, drivetrains, electrical systems, and A/C units
Maintain and repair small gas engines and off-road equipment
Conduct DOT inspections on trucks and trailers
Use fleet management software to enter and track repair records
Work with managers to schedule repairs and order parts
Help organize parts inventory and maintain shop cleanliness
Follow safety protocols in both shop and outdoor environments
What You Bring
High school diploma or equivalent
At least 2 years of experience in vehicle/equipment maintenance and repair
Skills in diesel diagnostics, brake systems, and light/medium-duty repairs
Familiarity with small engine repair (welding experience a plus, but not required)
Valid drivers license with clean driving record (CDL preferred but not required)
Ability to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening
Working Conditions
Day shift (1st shift), with occasional overtime, nights, or weekends as needed
Work around moving mechanical parts, loud noise, and outdoor weather (heat, rain, humidity)
Reliability and punctuality are essential
