Position Overview
You'll be responsible for driving revenue growth by developing new business and managing existing accounts across the Greater Ohio region. This is a field-facing role ideal for a motivated, consultative sales professional with experience selling industrial products, tools, or supply chain services. You will work directly with maintenance teams, purchasing managers, engineers, and plant leaders to deliver product-based and service-driven solutions that improve operational efficiency and reduce cost of ownership. Key Responsibilities
Territory & Account Management: Manage an open, industry-diverse territory by building a healthy pipeline of industrial accounts, identifying new opportunities, and nurturing existing relationships to maximize account potential. Industrial Solutions Selling: Recommend and implement customized solutions such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI), bin stock programs, and consignment inventory to optimize customer supply chains and reduce transactional burden. Technical Product Expertise: Leverage strong knowledge of fasteners, MRO supplies, cutting tools, abrasives, safety gear, and related industrial products to meet complex customer requirements. Customer Engagement: Conduct regular onsite visits with plant and facility personnel to understand their operations and pain points, offering tailored recommendations and product demonstrations. Collaboration: Work cross-functionally with customer service, inside sales, and procurement teams to ensure seamless execution of sales, order fulfillment, and customer service objectives. CRM & Reporting: Utilize Salesforce to track pipeline activity, prepare forecasts, and maintain detailed customer records for strategic account planning. Skills & Competencies
Strong background in industrial distribution/manufacturing, supply chain services, MRO product sales or relatable industry experience Proven ability to build trusted relationships with maintenance, operations, and procurement teams Skilled in solution-based and consultative sales within industrial/manufacturing environments Comfortable selling value-added services such as VMI, kitting, or integrated supply solutions Technically proficient with CRM platforms (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office Suite Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a large, complex territory with autonomy Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Distribution, or related field (preferred) Minimum of 5 years of outside sales experience in the industrial or manufacturing sector Familiarity with fasteners, safety/PPE, MRO, and indirect materials (strongly preferred) Willingness to travel regularly within territory, including occasional overnight stays Valid drivers license and reliable transportation required Get notified about new Territory Sales Manager jobs in
