As a Senior Account Manager, you will be responsible for client retention, growth, and expansion, ensuring clients maximize the value of our sustainability solutions. You will own the contract renewal process, proactively identifying expansion opportunities and deepening client relationships through strategic engagement. You will work closely with Business Development Managers, Sales Leadership, and internal sustainability experts as a trusted advisor guiding clients through carbon reduction strategies, environmental markets, and corporate sustainability best practices. You will also lead stakeholder engagement to align internal and external stakeholders on climate action initiatives. This role reports directly to the Senior VP, Client Solutions, Americas. Responsibilities
Client Success & Retention: Develop deep client relationships and strategic account growth plans; execute plans aligned to client objectives and our solutions to deliver measurable impact. Contract Renewals & Expansion: Own the renewal process, identify upsell opportunities, and help clients scale sustainability commitments. Strategic Advisory: Provide insights on environmental markets, carbon reduction strategies, and renewable energy procurement. Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, senior client stakeholders, and external partners to ensure program execution and alignment with sustainability goals. Client Engagement & Communication: Develop engagement strategies, including presentations, proposals, thought leadership content, and communications that convey the value of our programs. Certification & Compliance: Ensure clients with CarbonNeutral certification remain compliant with requirements. Data & Account Management: Maintain accurate client data and account plans, leveraging Salesforce to track interactions and opportunities. What We Are Looking For
Proven B2B account management experience with a track record of renewals, upselling, and stakeholder engagement. Experience in the VCM or environmental markets and a passion for sustainability and climate topics. Ability to think strategically about client relationships and translate long-term objectives into actionable sustainability solutions. Strong experience managing stakeholder engagement to ensure smooth execution of sustainability programs. Experience communicating complex sustainability concepts to diverse audiences, including non-technical stakeholders. Exceptional time management, attention to detail, and organizational skills. Commercially minded with the ability to work under pressure and drive results. Team-oriented with a proactive, win-as-a-team mindset. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. High proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint & Excel) and CRM tools such as Salesforce. Perks
