Overview
Job title: Regional Sales Manager - Baltimore at Rasa Floors. Location: Baltimore, MD. This role oversees and drives sales performance within a defined geographic region and manages a team of sales representatives to meet or exceed regional targets. Responsibilities Lead, mentor, and manage a team of sales representatives within the assigned region to achieve individual and regional sales targets. Develop strategies to achieve regional sales goals, including development and execution of regional marketing initiatives. Ensure Sales Representatives meet or exceed targets and complete client site visits; continuously track progress and provide feedback for continuous improvement. Regularly conduct ride-alongs with Sales Representatives to assess techniques and provide coaching for performance improvement. Build relationships with regional management companies to achieve strong unit sales penetration. Work with National Account Managers to drive unit penetration in the region. Conduct regular team meetings and sales training sessions to keep the team motivated and aligned with company objectives. Actively attend, participate in, and represent the company at boards, committees, and local industry and customer events to strengthen brand awareness and customer loyalty. Hire and train sales representatives assigned to the region in accordance with the corporate training plan. Partner with Branch Managers to drive client retention, address service challenges, and establish annual sales targets for budgeting and forecasting. Provide monthly pipeline sales reports to the COO. Stay up to date with new products/services and pricing/payment plans. Maintain working knowledge of market conditions and industry trends in flooring and multi-family markets. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Bachelors degree in business, marketing, or a related field (preferred) with a minimum of five (5) years of sales experience, preferably in the multi-family industry, and at least two (2) years in a managerial role focused on sales management; or Minimum of ten (10) years outside sales experience, preferably in the multifamily industry, and two (2) years in a managerial role with a focus on sales management. Certifications, Licenses, Registrations: Valid Drivers License with a clear driving record. Seniority level: Mid-Senior level. Advanced communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to engage with cross-functional teams and stakeholders. Advanced reasoning and problem-solving ability; strong analytical and decision-making capabilities. Advanced leadership and team-building skills; proven ability to coach and motivate a diverse team. Advanced strategic planning; ability to develop and execute regional sales strategies that align with business objectives. Advanced sales and negotiation expertise; track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets. Advanced financial acumen (budgeting, forecasting, and managing sales expenses). Advanced time management and organization; ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines. Proficient in technology and tools (Windows, Microsoft Office, CRM software, and sales reporting tools). Advanced mathematical skills for analyzing financial data and large datasets. Ability to safely operate a vehicle; valid drivers license and knowledge of traffic laws.
Education / Experience
Alternatively, consider the following qualifications: Bachelors degree plus five years of sales experience with at least two years in management; or Ten years outside sales experience with at least two years in management.
Travel
This role requires extensive travel within the designated region to visit clients, meet with sales representatives, attend industry events, and engage with potential and existing clients. Overnight stays may be required; flexibility to work evenings and weekends is necessary. A personal vehicle is required with reliable transportation, a valid drivers license, and personal liability coverage. Physical Demands
Strength: ability to regularly lift and move 110 lbs and occasionally 1125 lbs. Movement: frequently stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle, and grip, reach with hands and arms. Auditory: ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and other sounds; convey detailed instructions verbally. Vision: close, distance, color, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Work Environment
Varied environments including client offices, trade shows, public events, and remote workspaces. Extensive driving within the region; travel may involve varied weather and road conditions. Fast-paced with a high volume of emails, calls, and site visits; moderate noise levels depending on location. Exposure to outside weather conditions; possible fumes, airborne particles, moving parts, and vibrations.
Salary:
