This Technician should have knowledge in testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining substation and generation equipment. Extensive knowledge in generation relaying, FCO, and startup is required. An engineering degree is preferred, but relevant apprenticeship or military training will be considered. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is essential; NETA or NICET Power Testing certificates are a plus. The role involves independent work, project management on small projects, and estimating skills. A valid drivers license with an insurable record is required. Attention to detail, teamwork, self-motivation, and organization are essential. The position involves extensive travel within Alaska, the Pacific Northwest, Hawaii, and the South Pacific.
