is a certified Primary Stroke Center and Level IV Trauma Center. There are over 20 care spaces to treat patients with minor to major medical and traumatic emergencies. Interdisciplinary team members collaborate closely to provide relationship-based care for our patients and their loved ones. Gerber ED has over 29,000 visits/year and ranks highly in patient experience and throughput measures. We value teamwork, culture, and process improvement from each member of our teams! The RN Supervisor position is forty hours weekly. Two shifts are administrative, 3:00 p.m. - 11:00 p.m.; two shifts are clinical, 7:00 p.m. - 7:30 a.m. This is a great opportunity to step into leadership and coach and grow the skills of your team. Scope of work Assumes shift accountability for managing, supervising, and coordinating the operational and financial effectiveness and efficiency of the nursing service/unit of the hospital. Some service lines may require the ability to be available for on-call to better support the nursing service/unit. Additionally, Inpatient Supervisors may be required to fill-in for the hospital supervisor as needed. Key responsibilities include clinical support, unit-based goal setting, program development, fiscal management, resource allocation, standards of care, policy and procedure development and interpretation, performance improvement, performance correction, and coaching and mentoring. Corewell Health Nurse Supervisors are REQUIRED to obtain their Nursing Administration or Professional/Specialty Certification within 12 months of assuming the role, or within 12 months of achieving eligibility to sit for the exam if not eligible upon hire in to the role. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) Required. Master's degree in nursing (MSN) Preferred. Skills, knowledge, abilities typically gained through 1+ year of related clinical experience in area of specialty Required. MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required. AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required. AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Support (ACLS) Required. NIHSS Stroke Certification Required. ENA Emergency Nurse Pediatric Course (ENPC) within one year Required.
