About this position: This position involves professional administrative duties in various programs, including Fleet Acquisition, Buy-Back, Property Management, Equipment Management, State Risk Management, and Legislative Audit. The Equipment Management Program provides comprehensive solutions for managing and controlling fleet operations and maintenance. The incumbent must possess specialized knowledge of equipment and operate specialized office equipment. The Department's assets are directly impacted by the state of its equipment fleet, requiring timely and accurate performance. An ideal candidate should possess the following competencies: Communicating Effectively:
The ability to relay information correctly and appropriately to connect people and ideas. Thinking Critically:
The ability to objectively question, analyze, interpret, and evaluate information to form a conclusion. Making Accurate Judgements:
The ability to form an opinion objectively and decisively based on relevant information and in accordance with established standards. Minimum Qualifications
Four years of experience in administrative services; OR Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR A bachelor's degree plus one year of experience in administrative services; OR An advanced degree. EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION: Every 30 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as one year of experience towards the six years of full-time work experience in any field. The maximum substitution allowed is 120 semester hours which substitutes for a maximum of four years of experience in any field. Job Specification

Job Duties: Oversees complex administrative tasks for the Fleet Acquisition Program, ensuring timely and accurate management of equipment records, budget reports, and legislative approvals, while coordinating with various departments for equipment acquisition, registration, and maintenance. The incumbent independently manages the DOTD's Buyback Program, coordinating with personnel and vendors statewide for equipment turnover, impacting the Department's operational capabilities through timely and accurate administrative functions, and overseeing financial transactions and records for the program's substantial assets. Oversees the management of 400 maintenance records annually, ensuring the accurate tracking and processing of equipment transfers, disposals, and deactivations within the organization. Manages asset transfers, audits, and legal documentation for equipment operations, ensuring compliance and supporting various duties. Position-Specific Details: Appointment Type:
