X-Ray Technologist - Medical Imaging, Various Locations
The per diem technologist will be responsible for following established protocols, explaining procedures, and addressing patient questions or concerns. Operates X-ray equipment by setting controls and making necessary adjustments to obtain required images. Solves problems during patient exams, performs and positions patients for X-ray exams according to standard procedures, and practices radiation safety for both patients and co-workers. Performs quality assurance (QA) and other duties such as cleaning and restocking. Follows all policies and procedures, including HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements. Demonstrates knowledge of radiology operating systems such as PACS, EMR, RIS, and reports equipment malfunctions to the appropriate personnel. Performs additional duties as required. Requirements include an Associates Degree in Medical Radiography or an equivalent combination of education and experience. License and registration (ARRT) are required or eligible. Current CPR certification through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross is also required. Pay Range: $38.00/hr. Salary is based on experience and other qualifications.
