CT Technologist-12 Hour Shifts, Full Time
The CT Technologist is responsible for scanning patients, assisting other departments within the organization to learn about CT, cross-training staff members from within Medical Imaging, and promoting CT services at Oswego Health. Duties/Responsibilities: Follow departmental protocols, administer contrast material, explain procedures, and address patient questions. Operate CT and X-ray equipment, adjust controls to obtain required images, and troubleshoot during exams. Position patients for CT and X-ray procedures following standard procedures. Practice radiation safety for patients and staff. Perform quality assurance (QA), cleaning, and restocking duties. Required Skills/Abilities: Adhere to all policies, HIPAA, ACR, and NYS DOH requirements. Knowledge of Radiology systems such as PACS, EMR, RIS. Report equipment malfunctions and notify appropriate personnel. Perform additional duties as assigned. Education and Experience: Associate Degree in Medical Radiography or equivalent experience. NYS License and ARRT registration or eligibility. Contrast Injection certification or eligibility. Current CPR certification from AHA or Red Cross. Working Conditions: Prolonged walking, standing, and physical activity such as pulling, pushing, and bending. Attendance as scheduled to meet job requirements. Compliance with DOH health assessments and immunizations. Pay Range: $34.00 - $36.05/hr Salary based on experience and qualifications.
