Exempt POSITION SUMMARY The Senior Healthcare Recruiter will report directly to the Chief People Officer and Director of Operations. In this role, the individual will provide clinical and C-Suite recruitment services to community health centers that are members of the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA). Research, develop, and implement effective recruiting/staffing strategies to attract qualified and capable talent to fulfill recruitment contracts with clients. Interview most qualified/viable candidates and submit to Health Center for final interviews and hiring decisions. Will also provide support/training in effective staffing and retention strategies to membership, and collab with schools and training programs to inform clinical students of the employment opportunities available in Federally Qualified Community Health Centers (FQHCs). ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES: RECRUITMENT Consults with healthcare center clients to understand the requirements, duties, and qualifications desired for the specified vacant position(s). Collects and analyzes data to maintain current understanding of fair and competitive market salaries, candidate availability, and demand for candidates in particular fields. Screen candidates, select qualified and interested candidates for the interviewing phase, and connect viable candidates with clients or hiring managers. Provide candidate verification of licensing and results of online presence (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, Twitter) to ensure hire ability. Counsels candidates on the interview and hiring process. Represents the Association and its member organizations to professional schools, training programs, and residency programs for the purpose of securing candidates. Organizes and attends job fairs, campus events, and other networking opportunities. Follows up with clients or hiring managers after the interview process to determine whether a placement can be made; collects feedback when placement is unsuccessful. Maintains and ensures compliance with applicable equal employment opportunity (EEO) and related employment laws and regulations. Ensure open position(s) are posted and maintained on Association Job Board(s) and other effective recruitment platforms including LinkedIn, Indeed, and the Association social media platforms (e.g., Facebook, Twitter, Instagram). Actively recruit candidates when participating in presentations at medical schools and residency programs across the state. Network with school administrators, counselors, and others to recruit available clinical candidates for open positions. Collaborate through participation in various networking groups who support the mission of FQHCs. Provide guidance to designated Client representative in creating informational recruitment package materials which highlight the benefits of their organization and its surrounding community. Complete and secure signed contract/agreement from clients for candidate recruitment fee and ensure billing is submitted in a timely manner to the Association Accounting Department. Maintain in-house database to reflect current candidate pool and member organizations vacancies. Performs other related duties as assigned. TRAINING AND TECHNICAL SUPPORT Provides technical assistance to community health centers in areas of recruitment and retention. Identify and determine optimum recruitment methods to develop and maintain a highly qualified candidate pool. Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the client. WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT Guide Health Centers to recruit and retain employees to include how to improve job description ads, as well as offering more competitive compensation, schedule flexibility, and creative benefits packages. Create materials and program guidelines, as necessary. Participate/facilitate work groups as required/needed to ensure success of this initiative. Oversee and undertake additional special projects as needed. Coordinator of Health Professions Education and Training Develop and strengthen workforce activities that support Community Health Centers in their clinical operations and performance improvement initiatives, specifically to aid in the development and implementation of CHC-based/internal clinical training programs. Additional responsibilities related to this initiative may include creating/sharing collabs with various clinical/medical schools. QUALIFICATION: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics. Experience with both clinical recruitment and C-suite. Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles. Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. Flexibility which may include after hours, to accommodate the availability of the clinicians being recruited. Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment. Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn applicant-tracking software or other recruitment systems. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, and other recruitment tools. EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE: Bachelors degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, required. At least five years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process for Medical Providers and C-suite positions in a healthcare setting. CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS: SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred but not required. SUPERVISION: None SCHEDULE: 8-hour shift with flexibility to work additional hours needed to accommodate clinician schedules for interviews. Monday through Friday WORK HOURS: This is a full-time 40-hours per week position. The employee works 8 hours or more per day on an adjusted schedule from 7:00 am through 6:00 pm HYBRID IN-OFFICE/REMOTE WORK SCHEDULE: Week 1 In-office Monday Thursday with Friday remote work. Week 2 Remote work.
