Overview

We are recruiting on behalf of an Am Law 100 firm that is growing its business development department and seeking a highly motivated and strategic Senior Business Development Manager. This role offers the opportunity to work across multiple practice groups and industry teams, supporting firmwide growth initiatives in areas such as client engagement, events, and business strategy. The ideal candidate will be a proactive partner to firm leadership and attorneys, bringing both strategic insight and hands-on execution to help drive the firms continued success. Key Responsibilities

Partner with practice group leaders, partners, and firm leadership to develop and execute business development and marketing strategies aligned with firm goals. Drive client growth initiatives by identifying cross-selling opportunities, monitoring client trends, and supporting client relationship management efforts. Lead the planning and execution of high-profile client-facing events, sponsorships, and conferences, ensuring integration with broader business development objectives. Prepare client pitches, RFP responses, and tailored proposals, collaborating closely with attorneys and the broader BD/marketing team. Support strategic planning for practice groups and industry teams, including budget oversight, competitive intelligence, and market analysis. Oversee the development of thought leadership, client alerts, and marketing collateral to strengthen market visibility and client engagement. Collaborate with the communications team on media, PR, and social media initiatives to enhance brand recognition. Manage, mentor, and support junior BD/marketing professionals, fostering professional growth and ensuring alignment with team priorities. Monitor BD metrics and ROI to continuously refine strategy and report on outcomes to leadership. Qualifications

Bachelors degree required; advanced degree (JD, MBA, or related field) preferred. Minimum of 510 years of experience in business development, marketing, or client relations within a law firm or professional services environment. Strong understanding of the Am Law 100 landscape, legal industry trends, and competitive positioning. Proven track record in managing events, driving client development initiatives, and delivering strategic business plans. Excellent communication, project management, and leadership skills. Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, prioritize competing deadlines, and deliver results in a fast-paced environment. Compensation

Base pay range: $150,000.00/yr - $250,000.00/yr Additional compensation types: Annual Bonus Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, plus comprehensive benefits. Employment details
