MUSC Health is seeking a Medical Director of Cardiology for MUSC Health Orangeburg. This role will be responsible for developing our growing Cardiology service line in collaboration with hospital, service line, and system leaders. The ideal candidate will be a patient-centered, compassionate team player as well as a leader with experience in and desire to support the growth of cardiology services. Specific areas of involvement will include onsite cardiac catheterization lab, noninvasive cardiac imaging, and support for the physician group and its ambulatory practices.
Ideal Candidate:
BC Interventional Cardiologist
Patient-centered interventional cardiologist with leadership experience
Collaborative and collegial demeanor with commitment to high-quality patient care
Outstanding communication skills
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with MUSC Health Orangeburg leadership, system leadership, and stakeholders to develop an integrated cardiology service line.
Partner with practice leadership to ensure adequate staffing for clinic and hospital cardiology services.
Lead recruitment and onboarding of new cardiology physicians and APPs.
Oversee cardiac catheterization services, including PCI program.
Drive quality improvement and outcomes for cardiology services.
Develop clinical care and operational policies and procedures.
Support regulatory, compliance, budget, and clinical duties.
Ensure compassionate, high-quality, efficient patient care.
Maintain clinical practice as an interventional cardiologist.
