MUSC Health is seeking a Medical Director of Cardiology for MUSC Health Orangeburg. This role will be responsible for developing our growing Cardiology service line in collaboration with hospital, service line, and system leaders. The ideal candidate will be a patient-centered, compassionate team player as well as a leader with experience in and desire to support the growth of cardiology services. Specific areas of involvement will include onsite cardiac catheterization lab, noninvasive cardiac imaging, and support for the physician group and its ambulatory practices.

Job Description
Collaborate with MUSC Health Orangeburg leadership, as well as system leadership and stakeholders, for a robust, integrated cardiology service line
Partner with practice leadership to ensure that service line is staffed to meet the needs of the health system, including both clinic operations and the hospital cardiology service
Lead recruitment and onboarding of new cardiology physicians and APPs
Oversee MUSC Health Orangeburg’s cardiac catheterization services, including onsite percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) program
Drive performance and improvement of cardiology quality and outcomes, including registry-reported outcomes for PCI program
Assist in the development of processes, policies and procedures regarding clinical care and operational performance
Support regulatory and compliance objectives, budget needs including capital, information system planning, and other clinical duties
Assure compassionate, high-quality, efficient patient care for all cardiology providers at MUSC Orangeburg
Maintain clinical practice as interventional cardiologist
