The Data Center & Cloud Architect is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing enterprise-scale infrastructure solutions across both on-premises and cloud platforms. This role combines strategic architecture with hands-on engineering, ensuring secure, scalable, and reliable systems that support business and manufacturing operations. The position also involves servant leadership, guiding technical teams through complex challenges while driving operational excellence. Key Responsibilities
Provide technical leadership, mentoring, and collaboration across IT teams. Architect, deploy, and maintain hybrid cloud solutions integrating on-premises and Azure/AWS/GCP platforms. Act as lead engineer for installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and optimization of infrastructure. Implement and enforce infrastructure security protocols, including IAM, segmentation, and compliance controls. Monitor and optimize resources to ensure performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. Design and maintain disaster recovery and business continuity strategies. Lead cross-functional projects from planning to implementation, ensuring timely delivery. Maintain documentation of architecture, configurations, and operational processes. Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. 6+ years in cloud engineering and data center management, with 3+ years in an architecture or senior engineering role. Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure preferred; AWS/GCP also valuable). Strong background in hybrid IT environments, on-premises infrastructure, networking, firewalls, and virtualization. Proficiency with automation tools and scripting (Terraform, Ansible, Python). Demonstrated leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant certifications such as Microsoft Azure Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Architect (Azure preferred). Additional certifications in security, networking, or data center technologies are a plus. Experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Seniority level
