Facilities Operations Manager
with a multinational science and technology company in Indianapolis, IN. This is a 6-month contract with a potential for extension.
Pay:
$35.00 - $38.00/hr ; W2 contract, no PTO, no Benefits. ACA-compliant supplemental package available for enrollment.
Description: The Operations Project Manager will be responsible for planning, leading, and executing projects to expand facilities operations. Expansion projects include manufacturing capabilities for the manufacture of in-vitro diagnostic medical devices, ensuring that the project meets quality, cost, and delivery requirements. This will involve working closely with cross-functional teams such as Facilities/Environmental Health and Safety, Service, Quality, Manufacturing Operations, Planning, and Supply Chain functions.
Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Construction Management, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field. Minimum 5 years in project management role. PMP certification preferred. Experience with Lean Manufacturing tools and concepts, project management tools, and PC skills (MS Office) Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to lead through influence and coordinate diverse teams and functions. Demonstrated leader with the ability to prioritize, focus team efforts, overcome obstacles, mitigate risks, and complete key objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and execute projects related to facilities, construction, and layout changes required for manufacturing plant readiness/manufacturing line expansion. Coordinate with outside contractors/vendors/permitting agencies to drive schedule adherence and on-time, on-budget delivery. Coordinate incoming equipment placement for new manufacturing lines with design transfer teams. Support design transfer teams and ensure all facilities changes follow industry standards and regulations, including medical device industry requirements. Ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards; with a focus on medical device industry requirements (IVD, GMP) and validation processes.
