Overview

Electrophysiology Radiation Technician role at UC Davis Health Informatics. The Electrophysiology Lab is a specialized invasive procedure suite where cardiac electrophysiology procedures are performed for patients of all ages. The EP Technician operates technical equipment used during complex EP procedures and supports the physician in the scrub role for pacemaker and ICD implant procedures. Key Responsibilities

40% - Assist with performance of all EP invasive and interventional procedures (EPS, ablation, PM, ICD, lead extraction, loop recorder, etc.). 40% - Knowledge of X-Ray/Digital Equipment and imaging techniques; operate EP monitors and computers; ensure image quality and equipment functionality. 10% - Maintain the quality and safety of the work environment; pre- and post-procedure preparation; inventory control; support to maintain a safe environment. 10% - Provide pre- and post-operative care and collaborates with team to ensure patient safety and procedure efficiency. Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) or UC Davis Health CPR AHA or UC Davis Health Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification Valid CRT and CA Fluoroscopy AHA or UC DH-issued Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) within 3 months of hire RCES or RCIS certification to be obtained within 12 months of hire (or equivalent) High School Diploma or equivalent work experience / training 1 year radiography experience Knowledge to operate radiology/auxiliary equipment and PACS; ability to adapt to new programs and equipment upgrades Knowledge of cardiac anatomy and physiology; ability to work under pressure; sound clinical decision making within scope of practice Ability to work in an area with ionizing radiation and/or high magnetic field Effective communication, organization, and teamwork; ability to set priorities and work independently Preferred Qualifications

ARRT Associates degree in radiologic technology or related field Position Information
