Medical Director- Radiologist role at University of Maryland Medical System (UMMS) UM Shore Regional Health is a regional, nonprofit medical delivery care network formed through the consolidation of Shore Health and Chester River Health in 2013. As a member of UMMS, UM Shore Regional Health enhances clinical programs and facilities to facilitate physician recruitment and bring world-class medical care to Maryland's Mid-Shore region. The UM Shore Regional Health network serves the Mid-Shore region, including Caroline, Dorchester, Kent, Queen Anne's and Talbot counties. It includes two hospitals in Chestertown and Easton, freestanding emergency centers in Cambridge and Queenstown, and UM Shore Medical Pavilions across multiple locations with a broad array of inpatient and outpatient services. UM Shore Regional Health and Shore Medical Group seek a full-time Radiologist to lead a well-established Radiology group in Easton, MD. The ideal candidate will develop and utilize management and leadership skills and bring a strong Radiology background. Job Description
This position is expected to devote approximately 25% time as the Executive Physician to the employed group Approximately 75% of time devoted to providing direct patient care in an ambulatory setting Define, plan, develop, implement, and oversee clinical programs and systems to guide and attain UM Shore Regional Medical Center and UMMS goals Serve as a dyad partner with Director of Operations with focus on practitioner relations and performance Share in leading providers to achieve UM SRMC practice goals Establish clinical practices and performance standards in collaboration with Director of Operations and UM SRMC CMO Lead the vision and evolution of the company’s clinical and digital care management offerings as the clinical subject matter expert Utilize market data, consumer research, and patient analytics to spearhead new approaches to effective clinical delivery, including new technology and integrated care paths Provide physician leadership in creating comprehensive research packages and pursuing partnerships or vendor relationships as needed Create and expand client relationships by partnering with the Growth team to address client pain points and deliver solutions Participate in strategic planning for UM SRMC clinical and digital care management strategy Provide strategic guidance on utilization management and medical policy programs as needed to support the clinical organization Monitor performance of launched clinical programs and support continuous improvement Office Hours: 8am to 5pm Monday through Friday. Call is 5 pm–8 am weekdays and 8 am–8 am on weekends for telephonic questions/consults only. Outside vendor reads any studies during off hours. Qualifications
Completed US-based residency program in Diagnostic Imaging, Radiology Board certification as an MD or DO with a current unrestricted state license to practice medicine 5+ years clinical practice beyond residency/fellowship 5+ years experience in managed care MBA or advanced degree in a healthcare-related discipline preferred Experience serving as lead thinker/consulting partner, designing innovative clinical programs and interventions driving value for payers and their members Ability to build credibility, influence, and partnership with key clients Executive presence and ability to communicate effectively with partners/clients Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and influence internal partner groups Team player with a positive attitude Strong communication and team management/interpersonal skills Strong leadership capabilities and ability to initiate and maintain cross-team relationships Additional Information
Compensation: Pay Range $200 - $262 per hour. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, training, and qualifications. Incentives may include a sign-on bonus ($20–25K), housing allowance up to $50K toward a home purchase in the first year, relocation assistance up to $10K, and a productivity-based bonus structure.
