The District Attorney Family Support Division (DAFS) is seeking a highly skilled Departmental Systems Administrator to join our IT Development team. This role is ideal for an experienced technical lead with a strong background in supervising IT teams, managing enterprise-level applications, and implementing development projects that support critical public services. The successful candidate will oversee the development and maintenance of custom applications and reports using C#, VB.NET, JavaScript, CSS, and T-SQL, and will be responsible for guiding the team through all phases of the software development lifecycle. This includes scoping, budgeting, planning, requirements gathering, documentation, testing, deployment, and training. Projects may follow Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Hybrid methodologies, depending on complexity and scope. The ideal candidate will also have experience with both manual and automated user acceptance testing, scripting and automating deployment processes, and managing service requests through ServiceNow or a comparable ITSM platform. Additionally, you will contribute to personnel matters such as employee selection, performance evaluations, disciplinary actions, and other related decisions. Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or a related field, and four (4) years of full-time professional experience in systems analysis, design, and hardware/software acquisition in a departmental environment, including some lead or supervisory experience. Additional experience in systems analysis and/or programming may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis up to two (2) years. An advanced degree in an appropriate field is preferred. Provides lead direction, training, and work review to departmental staff assisting in automation processes; organizes and assigns work, sets priorities, and ensures coordination and completion of tasks. Participates in personnel decisions such as hiring, evaluations, and disciplinary actions; may sign evaluation forms and counsel employees. Gathers and analyzes information about departmental systems and requirements, developing or modifying automated systems accordingly. Conducts feasibility studies, develops hardware and software specifications, and estimates costs. Coordinates departmental activities with centralized information systems staff; acts as liaison between the department and IT staff. Plans, organizes, and installs departmental PC and network hardware and software. Develops program specifications, logic, and processing steps; may code in various languages or modify existing systems. May install, configure, and troubleshoot PC and network systems. Designs, maintains, and troubleshoots complex computer networks, including physical cabling and telecommunications. Develops test data, designs input/output forms, and documents procedures. Provides hardware/software troubleshooting, documentation, user training, and support. Maintains records and prepares reports on work performed. Recommends hardware and software upgrades based on current technology trends. Contributes to team efficiency and effectiveness by offering suggestions and participating in team activities. Uses standard office equipment and may need to travel to various County locations for meetings and events. Accommodations may be provided for physical demands.
