Education
Two (2) years of college
Experience / Qualifications
American Registry Radiologic Technologists in MRI - ARRT, (R), (MR) and/or American Registry of Magnetic Resonance Imaging Technologists - ARMRI.
American Heart Association BLS, for Healthcare Provider
2 years’ experience performing MRI/MRA
Advanced training in breast MRI and vascular MPR/IVI post processing
Proficient computer skills
Excellent communication skills both verbally and in writing
Position Summary The Lead Technologist assists in the daily operation of the MRI department, ensures prompt and efficient flow of patients through the department, and coordinates testing procedures with other modalities.
Performs necessary quality assurance tests and monitors overall quality of exams performed daily.
Assists in maintaining accurate records of technical staff to ensure all licensure requirements are fulfilled.
Assists in maintaining logs for equipment maintenance and schedules service when necessary.
Assists with maintaining quality control standards.
Maintains inventory levels and ensures sufficient supplies are on hand at all times.
Performs all MRI/MRA procedures, including abdominal, pelvic, head/skull, thorax, and extremities.
Demonstrates excellent knowledge of human anatomy & pathology to provide quality MRI images for interpretation.
Uses advanced computer applications including PACS and image manipulation for image enhancement.
Adjusts MRI principles to each patient for optimal imaging.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements This job may be physically demanding, requiring long periods of standing, sitting, and walking. Must be able to lift and assist patients and heavy equipment, with the ability to push/pull up to 40 lbs and carry/lift up to 50 lbs.
Threshold Requirements
Annual mandatory education and training, including TB/PPD surveillance and professional licensing maintenance.
