Summit Riser Systems, Inc. is currently seeking a
Lead Technician
for our Orange County / Los Angeles service area. We are looking for an
experienced technician
who can work independently with minimal supervision. Job duties include: Installing fiber, coax, and low voltage cabling within building riser systems, including cable placement, termination, testing, and labeling per code and EIA/TIA standards. Installing structured cabling within tenant suite spaces. Cleaning up and removing abandoned cabling and equipment from building riser systems. Walking jobs and meeting with customers. Closing out projects with the regional manager/corporate accounting. Conducting quality control checks for installations. The applicant should be familiar with high-rise building phone room infrastructure, MPOEs, service provider technologies, circuit extensions, and proper fiber and copper cabling installation methods. Knowledge of local code requirements for low voltage cabling (suspension methods, labeling, fire stopping, etc.) is essential. The applicant should be professional, reliable, accountable, and able to meet with customers and clients in person. Must be able to think independently and resolve issues quickly to minimize client impact. A reliable vehicle capable of carrying a 6 ladder and tools is required. Familiarity with computer programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook is necessary. #J-18808-Ljbffr
