Low Voltage Technician West Chicago IL
Here at SUPERIOR, we are seeking reliable and motivated technicians to join our rapidly growing Structured Cabling & Security Installation team. Responsibilities Roughing in, terminating, and testing copper cabling. Fiber termination experience is a plus. Installing pathway supports such as j-hooks and ladder trays. Servicing/troubleshooting network cabling in a commercial environment. Installing closet hardware including backboards, connecting blocks, racks, patch panels, and fiber enclosures. Qualifications and Skills Technical skills and knowledge of structured cabling systems. Ability to follow blueprints, notes, and specifications. Working knowledge of TIA and BICSI Standards. Industry specific manufacturer certifications and BICSI training and/or certifications preferred. Excellent time management, planning, and decision-making skills. Enjoys hands-on problem solving in a fast-paced work environment. Ability to work well both independently and as part of a professional team with a positive and professional attitude. Must maintain a valid drivers license and reliable transportation. Experience with AV and/or access control a plus. Education High school or equivalent.
