We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented professional to join our Customer Service Team as an Office Assistant 3. In this vital role, you will provide essential support to the Customer Service Supervisor, Accounting Technicians, and fellow Office Assistants, helping to ensure the seamless operation of our daily activities. With a strong focus on accuracy, initiative, and high-quality service, you will be responsible for managing borrower records, facilitating clear and timely communications, and assisting in the preparation of professional loan applications and informational materials. You will also play an integral role in advancing our record-keeping processes by supporting digitization initiatives and collaborating on team projects. As the welcoming and dependable point of contact for our Customer Service section, you will deliver outstanding service to both current and prospective borrowers, whether in person or over the phone, while guiding them to the appropriate resources within our division. As this is an on-site position and not eligible for telework, you will be working in our headquarters office located on the 9th floor of the State Office Building in beautiful downtown Juneau. You will enjoy a collaborative atmosphere in a fully resourced and modern office space, with splendid views of Mount Juneau and the Gastineau Channel. The 9th floor has a fully equipped and spacious break room, that you will have full access to, as well as easy access to various restaurants and coffee shops downtown. Our Investments team fosters a cooperative environment through staff empowerment, accountability, and professionalism. To be successful in this position, a candidate will need the following core competencies: Clerical: Knowledge of filing, typing, entering data, maintaining records, using and completing forms. Maintaining both an electronic and paper filing system and responding to information requests from multiple sections within the division. Uses computers, software applications, databases, and automated systems to accomplish work product. Customer Service Excellence: Dedicated to providing exceptional customer service. Shows empathy and professionalism when addressing inquiries and resolving issues, ensuring a positive experience for clients and colleagues alike Organizational and Self-Management: Demonstrates exceptional organizational skills, ensuring all tasks and projects are managed efficiently and effectively. Capable of maintaining orderly files, and databases, contributing to a seamless workflow. Sets well-defined and realistic personal goals; displaying a high level of initiative, effort, and commitment towards completing assignments in a timely manner; works with minimal supervision; is motivated to achieve; demonstrates responsible and respectful behavior. Communication: Ability to utilize both verbal and written communication. Working with others as a team and adapting to changing priorities and timelines. Ability to follow internal guidelines and training to provide quality support for office and division. Attention to Detail: Ability to be thorough when performing work. Including strong attention to detail, accuracy. Processing of confidential material relating to personnel and payroll, etc. Special Notice: This position requires providing backup support to the Office Assistant 1 role, which involves driving a division-provided vehicle daily. Applicants must possess a valid driver's license and be willing and able to drive regularly to succeed in this position. Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or the equivalent. AND One year of experience that includes clerical tasks such as performing reception duties, answering routine questions on services or products, retrieving information from electronic or hard copy files, recording expenditures and receipts, or typing routine correspondence. Substitution: Education from an accredited college may substitute for six months of the required experience (3 semester hours or 4 quarter hours equal one month of experience; 150 hours of vocational education equal one month of experience). Special Note: "High school diploma equivalent" means one of the following: 1) a G.E.D.; 2) completion of any basic adult education course equivalent to 480 class hours (16 weeks at 30 course hours per week); 3) acceptance in full standing by an accredited college or university; 4) highest grade of school completed plus an amount of paid or volunteer experience that totals 12 years and includes basic clerical tasks such as greeting clients, answering phones, typing, filing, sorting mail, entering data, receiving payments, making change, or maintaining logs. Some positions in this class may require the incumbent to operate motor vehicles. Such positions require that the applicant possess a regular driver's license and be 18 years of age or older.
