RESPONSIBILITIES:
Kforce has a client in San Antonio, TX that is seeking a Network Engineer 3.
Key Responsibilities:
Network Engineer 3 will design, configure, and maintain enterprise-level LAN/WAN, wireless, and cloud-based network infrastructure Lead network architecture planning and implementation for new initiatives and upgrades Monitor network performance and troubleshoot complex issues to ensure high availability and reliability Implement and manage network security protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and intrusion detection/prevention systems As a Network Engineer 3, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to support infrastructure needs for applications, systems, and services Document network configurations, procedures, and standards Mentor junior engineers and provide technical leadership on projects Evaluate emerging technologies and recommend improvements or upgrades
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field Industry certifications such as CCNP, AWS Certified Advanced Networking, or Azure Network Engineer Associate are highly preferred 5+ years of experience in network engineering, with at least 2 years in a senior or lead role Experience with firewalls, load balancers, and network monitoring tools Experience with network automation and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible) is a plus Advanced knowledge of routing and switching protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) Strong understanding of network security principles and tools Familiarity with SD-WAN, VPN, and VoIP technologies Proficiency in cloud networking within AWS and Azure environments Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Excellent communication and documentation abilities
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
Note: Pay is not considered compensation until it is earned, vested and determinable. The amount and availability of any compensation remains in Kforce's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified in its discretion consistent with the law.
