Specialist Consultant of Value Chain | Private Equity | Automotive | Industrial Manufacturing
Position Summary The Senior Sales Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic sales initiatives across major automotive OEM and Tier 1 accounts in North America. This leadership role involves managing the regional sales team, driving profitable growth, strengthening customer relationships, and ensuring alignment with global business objectives. The Senior Sales Manager provides high-level commercial and operational oversight, builds long-term partnerships, and acts as the customers voice within the organization. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement the North American sales strategy to achieve revenue, profitability, and market share targets within the sealing technologies. Build and maintain strong relationships with senior decision-makers at key automotive customers selling sealing solutions. Lead and mentor the regional sales team, fostering collaboration across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management functions. Drive new business acquisition through strategic RFQ management, contract negotiation, and proactive customer development. Ensure effective communication with global teams, including headquarters and engineering resources. Oversee and approve pricing strategies, commercial agreements, and long-term contracts in alignment with financial objectives. Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to inform market positioning and identify growth opportunities. Lead customer negotiations on new programs, pricing changes, and commercial recovery initiatives. Act as the primary executive liaison for customer escalations, audits, and program launches. Represent the company at customer meetings, industry events, and trade shows as required. Establish and manage sales forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting processes. Ensure customer satisfaction is measured, monitored, and shared internally to drive continuous improvement. Coach and develop the sales team to create a high-performance, customer-focused culture. Perform additional duties as assigned in alignment with business needs. Qualifications Experience & Competencies Proven leadership experience in sales; background in automotive or industrial manufacturing preferred. Understanding of sealing components, technologies and solutions. Strong commercial acumen with a track record of managing OEM and Tier 1 relationships. Strategic thinker with technical understanding, analytical ability, and strong decision-making skills. Energetic, forward-thinking, and creative, with high ethical standards and a professional image. Well-organized and self-directed team player who can influence and communicate effectively at all organizational levels. Bachelors degree required (Engineering preferred); 510 years of relevant sales and leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools; knowledge of lean systems is advantageous. Seniority level
